A Walk Alone

My anxious self
It's numb, it's in dark
The walk alone
Unsteady faltered and tumbling

Demons call me out
Lips utter no sound
Throat mine is dry
The eye not doing

What sounds are around
Teeth chattering, bones crackling
The smell of sweat and blood
Where thou lead me?

Who there, whose eyes are thee?
At distance, it shines
Fiery, glaring and all terrifying
A walk alone, to meet the ire

A time was when
Leering judgements made no sense
A time is now
When there's a judgement upon me

An unholy place
An unholy rule
I to live among
An unholy folk

SITA-RAMAM

I don’t remember when it happened but somewhere and at some point in time, I stopped believing in love stories. It so happened that once the idea of true love went missing in my heart, I started to drift away and got lost in the market of cheap entertainment, it was instant gratifications that robbed me of the opportunities of waiting with dignity for real love. Words came easy to me once when describing any piece of art, literature, or music that moved me. I used to find my innocence when I found stories that were so beautifully unreal that they seemed divine. But lately, love stories appeared cornier and cornier and the stories became so predictable that even if I watch a love story (which I generally avoid), it fails to move me. Today, after watching the late-night show of Sita-Ramam, I feel I have found that old believer in me. I am glad he is still there, believing in the idea of magical love. This film was so complete in experience that it will remain with me. Sita-Ramam is...

Odalisque

She claims she hates, She shows no love, Yet she quenches thirst of hunger, They feed on her body, And shatters her pristine abode, She asks to world "Why you watch? If morality is declining in you, Then why not you tag along? Do come to steal my humanity, Do not hesitate of your own morality, If pity would’ve left in Pandora’s box, You could’ve reasoned your pusillanimous, But no right you’ve to pity my state. I’m happy to see this lusty human stage, A day will dawn When I’ll loose the vigor to stand, My soul will reside in heaven For loosing not to those stuck in sand of lust."   © 2016  VIREN
